1800's Style 100% Wool Queen Sized Shoulder Cape Intricate Fringed Edging

Description

Black wool unlined 100% wool shoulder cape with an intricate fringed edging. The cape closes at the neckline with a hidden hook and eye closure. There is an additional closure of a wide self-fabric tab which buttons to the cape with large silver metal with an open-work woven design edged with a twisted cord design. The cape is decorated with 4" wide black rayon "silk-look" fringe which hangs from a 1 1/2" wide knot work design all along the bottom edge and around the neck-line.
The cape is used. There are pinhead sized moth-holes with small darned repairs. They are very small and hard to see. No large holes or obvious damage to the cape. The cape is a used item and is sold "as is."
The neckline opening is 28" around. The front opening is 23" long, not counting the fringe. The back from neck edge to bottom is 27". The circumference of the cape is 117". It offers nice coverage and warmth for cooler reenactments. It can be used in conjunction with a mourning impression.
