Travis Roemmele is a working police officer and a Certified ASP Instructor. He is also a very smart guy. Based upon his years on the street, Travis combined the two most frequently used police tools (a pen and a handcuff key) into a single design. Then he came to ASP for production. The result is the LockWrite, a functional pen that has been married to a durable heat treated ASP handcuff key. The core of the LockWrite is a precision, high density ink cartridge from Germany. Each LockWrite is packaged with a spare ink refill. The handcuff key of the LockWrite is produced from 4140 steel, the same alloy we use in ASP Batons. Each key is precision machined, heat treated, polished and plated. The LockWrite pen mechanism was custom designed with an exceptionally long throw. This allows the ink cartridge to smoothly click into place to issue a ticket or write a report. It will then retract into the key making it possible to unlock a pair of cuffs with a firm grip and extra reach. The body of the LockWrite is made by one of the world's premiere pen manufacturers. They routinely produce pens costing hundreds of dollars. This level of quality and durability is being put into every LockWrite. Customers may return new and unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items must be new or unused with original packaging and all instructional materials included in the shipment. Customers are responsible for all lost and damaged items in return shipping so please insure. All returns must be received at our location within 45 days of delivery.
After 30 days of delivery, a partial refund may be issued.
Returned merchandise that is either opened and/or used may be issued a partial refund.
If the return is a result of a manufacturers defect, MSP will refund the full cost of the merchandise and shipping charges, if returned within the 30 day period. After the 30 day period has expired, the manufacturer’s warranty will be in effect. When MSP receives your return, we will inspect the item and provide a replacement or refund. If the product is not found to be defective, shipping fees will apply and/or a partial refund may be issued.
Refunds
Refunds to customer can be expected within two weeks of the receipt of your returned merchandise.
We inspect all returned items when they arrive at our facility. We refund the full cost of the merchandise and all original shipping charges if your return is a result of our error or defective product. If the return is not a result of our error and you initiate a return of an unopened item within 30 days of delivery, we refund the full cost of the merchandise minus the original shipping charge and the return shipping fees.
If you return an item that has been opened or shows signs of wear, we will issue a partial refund minus both original shipping charge and return shipping fees. Products may decrease in value over time. Therefore we reduce funds for returns you initiate more than 30 days after delivery or received at our returns processing facility after 45 days. Returns after 45 days may be refused.
You can expect your refund within two weeks after we are in receipt of your return. In many cases you may receive a refund sooner, but we estimate two weeks from receipt due to the time required for inspection and processing from your bank or credit card company. We will notify you via e-mail with the details of your refund. Refunds are issued in the same form of payment originally used for the order.
