    Further illustrating the variety of Hospital Steward Chevrons, we are adding this example which was worn by a member of the First Maine. Embroidered on dark green velvet in dead gold bullion, this chevron bears all the hallmarks of a privately purchased example. Based on an original that was in the Don Troiani archives, the artifact can be viewed on his historical image bank website.
