For consideration is a
lightweight
, 100%
cotton,
handmade, drawstring-waist skirt/petticoat. The drawstring waist skirt ties at the back center seam with a light green, 5/8" wide gross grain ribbon thru a 1" wide waist band that is top stitched for a clean finish. Can be made larger with replacing drawstring ribbon with something longer or elastic (let me know at time of sale). The bottom is adorned with a 2.75" wide white cotton ruffle adorned across the top with a very light pink, 1.5" wide lace that has a gathered back center topped with a pink satin rosette. The front right side has an additional adornment of a white, shabby, fabric rose with a thin, satin, pink ribbon and another pink satin rosette and a drape of gathered pink tulle and light green lace. eady for wear but cannot be made longer and can only be shortened by lowering the waist or adding
horizontal
pleating. Please let me know if you need anything like this done but it would be an additional cost which would vary according to what method of shortening you choose. Enough fullness so it can be worn over some hoop
skirts,
or a crinoline
as shown in the pictures
(
which is not included in this sale
).
But please see the sweep measurements for fitting your hoop. All of the laces and trims have been sewn on by hand for a quality look.
Ribbon edges are treated with a fray block. Lace is properly aligned at the seam. You can see in the pics that this is a thin cotton that is a little sheer making it nice for hot days & use as an underskirt/petticoat. Unfortunately, this fabric has a flaw of a very small snag in the back, see pics. If you need it shortened, I could tuck this snag away into a pleat around the skirt. T
