Civil War Victorian Dickens Full Skirt Handmade Costume 34W Tan/khaki

Description

Skirt is newly constructed of cotton homespun in a caramel tan & khaki mini-check.  Can read gray in some lights.  It is intended to represent an everyday item of the 1850s-1860s.  Ideal for theatre or re-enactment.
Skirt is knife pleated across the front and cartridge pleated for appropriate fullness at the back.  The pleats are handstitched tightly to the waistband.
It will fit a 33-34 inch waist comfortably.
Front length is 40 inches and tapers with an additional 3 inches of length at the back.  Skirt has a 2.5 inch hem around the full 126 inch circumference of the skirt.  Skirt closes with two heavy skirt hooks at the back.
Hooks can be moved to make 1-1.5 inches smaller.
Opening is about 10 inches deep.
