    Description

    Skirt is handsewn of cotton homespun in shades of brown plaid.  It is intended to represent an everyday item of the 1850s-1860s.  Ideal for theatre or re-enactment.
    Skirt is knife pleated across the front and cartridge pleated for appropriate fullness at the back.  The pleats are handstitched tightly to the waistband.
    It will fit a 30 inch waist comfortably.
    Front length is 39 inches and tapers with an additional 3 inches of length at the back.  There is a 3.5 inch hem around the full 126 inch circumference of the skirt hemline.  Skirt closes with two heavy skirt hooks at the back.
    Hooks can be moved to make waistline 1-1.5 inches smaller.
    Opening is about 10 inches deep.
    Skirt has seen light usage.  Freshly laundered, like new and ready to wear!
