Girl's Size Large 12-14, 26-28" Waist Split-crotch Cotton DRAWERS PANTALETS

100% cotton child's open-style, split crotch drawers or pantalettes.  New item which has never been used. The split-crotch design is the most authentic style worn by girls from age 7 to the teen. It makes going to the "necessary" much easier. The drawers are worn under all of the child's other clothing. The drawers were usually mid-calf length and are often seen in period pictures peeking out beneath the dresses. If the drawers are too long it is a simple matter to make rows of "growth tucks" using a long stitch, which can be removed at the child grows, since most children grow up faster than they grow out!
The drawers have a one piece waistband which closes at the back with a drawstring.  The waist is 32 1/2" the legs are gathered onto the waistband and the crotch is open, the back sides are pulled closed over each other.  The pantalettes are  37 1/2" from the top of the waist band to the bottom. The inseam is 23". The bottom edge is decorated with a single row of 2" wide cotton eyelet (or as it was know broderie anglaise) lace, above it there are two rows of 7/8" wide flat cotton eyelet lace.
