Description

Jimi Hendrix Owned and Worn Penny Collared Blouse (Circa 1967-69).
A green-and-white multi-patterned penny collared blouse owned and worn by Hendrix. The label is faded, with no size or information visible. According to the copy of the signed letter of authenticity from Hendrix's late roadie James "Tappy" Wright, the shirt is "One of Jim's many ladies blouses that he wore. It was not unusual for Jimi to want to go shopping in ladies' shops so that he had more choice of the flamboyant blouses. This blouse was bought at a Lady Jane on a trip to Carnaby Street in the late 60s. It came to my possession in the early 70s when the Amin offices where I was manager closed down." Very Fine condition, with little wear.
If you haven’t read it yet, get the book “Rock Roadie” and you will be able to read the story of Tappy Wright’s life and why he ended up with a few “souvenirs” from the ’60’s rock legend Jimi Hendrix. Wright used to be the general manager Anim lmted which was owned by Mike Jeffrey who managed Jimi Hendrix and the Animals and was also a Roadie for the Animals. He worked with Hendrix and some of the biggest rock legends of the day.
