    Description

During the Victorian era women wore cuffs and collars to preserve the cuffs and collars of a day dress from soil and stains. Many women had quite a few pairs so they could be sure of always have a clean pressed set. The long tab is turned under the collar and cuffs of the dress, then basted on. Iron them on the dress for a flat fit.
This set is made of barred batiste, very delicate, and often used during the 1860's for this purpose. The collar measures 18 inches long and the cuffs are 7 inches long and 2 inches wide. The cuffs look larger due to the camera angle. These measurements do not include the tab. The lace is a bit on the heavier side.
Care: Hand wash only. Starch and iron, spray starch will do.
