    Description

Handmade man's royal blue, hunter green and black 100% wool smoking cap or lounging cap. I am not an expert, but I believe the plaid is the Black Watch tartan. The round cap is 22" in circumference and 4" tall. It has a lining of soft navy blue colored 100% cotton flannel for warmth. The cap is decorated with a pair of dark green colored silk-look rayon cord. It is attached to the hat with an intricate gold colored sunburst button. This is a new, unused cap, from Turtle Run Mercantile.
During Victorian and Edwardian times, after dinner, gentlemen left the ladies and gathered to smoke their cigars and share a drink. In order to spare the ladies the smell of smoke gentlemen would frequently don their "smoking jacket and smoking cap" which could be removed, along with the smoke smell.
Civil War re-enactors enjoy wearing the warm caps on a cool evening around the campfire. Steam punk, Edwardian, cigar club members, or any distinguished gentleman, will enjoy the cap. Smoking /lounging caps are a great accessory, suitable for many eras and uses. Smoking is not required!
    Dry clean only.
